Tucson Guest Ranch

The short story is that shades are a rarity in Tucson. And forrests are almost nonexistant. So a shady place like Al Mesquital is truly unique. The average tempurature at Al Mesquital is 10 degrees cooler than Downtown Tucson. Above is an arial view of the Tanque Verde Valley. The white strip is the actual Tanque Verde River Bed. One thing that you can see in this picture is that both sides of the wash are GREEN, verdant, verde !! It's because there is ALL kinds of water underneath the ground along the wash and the mesquite trees love it. This is the only real forrest in Tucson.
