We have acquired a few properties in the last year that either need some touch up, or are in a neighborhood that we like to call bohemian. The bohemian neighborhood is on Santa Fe Avenue which is directly south of the State Capital building and directly south of the Plaza. These units are actually our closest ones to the Plaza. We have a two bedroom house there and a studio apartment. The house is on the national historic register. The neighbors on one side are about 12 empty apartments, one is occupied by a care taker and the rest are empty awaiting city approval for a remodel. The house on the other side is occupied by a rambunctious family of mom and dad 2 kids and 2 dogs. She is a landscaper and greenhouse manager so the front of the house is very nice but the back and side of their house where they store all their materials, supplies, etc. is a little messy. These two units are very nice inside and we would charge a lot more if they were in the same location as our other units. The rates are the same all year round.

And we just acquired another property at 324 Staab Street that belonged to an old woman, Elvira Sandoval, who lived there for 90 years. She has moved in with her children and they decided to sell the house. We pulled up the carpet and found some very nice wood floors in the living room, dining room and bedroom. And the bedroom has coved ceilings with wooden beams/vigas. But the kitchen is a little dated so we are going to charge less for this than we would for a large 1 bedroom. The rate will be the same as a small 1 bedroom. There is also a studio available. Ask for Elvira's casitas de las pajaritos. It means Elvira's house of the little birds. Mrs. Sandoval would wander the surrounding parks and neighborhoods scattering seed and crumbs for the birds. The Mayor of Santa Fe, declared her the Saint Francis of Santa Fe.
